Emerging half of the tank of the sarcophagus, face, hands folded, the three exposed wounds, Christ offers his distress in contemplation. A wooden cross is drawn behind his body.

Inspired by the Passion cycle, Christ of Mercy is a truly Byzantine creation which we find examples from the twelfth century. The Creto-Venetian versions of the subject are numerous. However, it can link this release to the art of Nicolaos Tasfouris. This Greek painter signed an important Latin Christ of Pity between the Virgin and Saint John (Vienna, Kunsthistorisches Museum) whose style and composition of Christ are identical to those of the latter.

The colors of the print are bright and luminous, details of the print are crisp, and there’s a matte appearance you can literally feel.
  • Bipụta akwụkwọ mmado n'ihe kwaaji: Our poster print is a printed sheet of canvas paper with a nice texture on the surface, which resembles the original masterpiece. A poster print is excellently designed for putting the art replica in a personal frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin of something between 2 - 6cm round about the work of art, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
  • Kwaaji: A UV printed canvas material stretched on a wooden frame. A canvas makes a distinctive look of three dimensionality. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without the help of additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all kinds of walls.
