A swan fiercely defends its nest against a dog. In later centuries this scuffle was interpreted as a political allegory: the white swan was thought to symbolize the Dutch statesman Johan de Witt (assassinated in 1672) protecting the country from its enemies. This was the meaning attached to the painting when it became the very first acquisition to enter the Nationale Kunstgalerij (the forerunner of the Rijksmuseum) na 1880.

Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang the Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any kind of wall.
  • Mbipụta aluminom (aluminium dibbond): An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with an impressive depth effect. This direct print on aluminium is one of the most popular entry-level products and is a truly contemporary way to display art reproductions, as it puts all of the viewer’s attention on the replica of the artwork.
  • Mpempe iko acrylic na-egbuke egbuke: An acrylic glass print, which is often referenced as a print on plexiglass, will convert your favorite original work of art into wonderful décor. In addition, it offers a good alternative option to canvas and dibond art prints. The artwork will be made with modern UV print technology. The major advantage of a plexiglass fine art copy is that contrasts as well as details become more identifiable due to the subtle gradation.
