A stone niche provides a framework for the still life traversed by a partridge hanging by a tab. The still life is made up of a basket of grapes, which are put in front of peaches and grapes to the right, an open pomegranate and two small dead birds left.

Largillière borrows from the Flemish and Dutch painting of the seventeenth century, which he is abundantly fed, the reason for the niche as a framework for a still life and that of the partridge hanging by one leg. But he stands out from its models using light to give unity to the disparate elements that make up the still life. This lighting can be used to stage the religious theme of salvation, as some have asserted.

Still life, Partridge, architectural niche, Bird, Fruit, Fruit Basket, Grape, Peach (fruit), Granada Vine

Nkwupụta iwu: We try all that we can to describe the art products as exact as possible and to exhibit them visually. Nevertheless, the pigments of the print materials, as well as the print result may vary to a certain extent from the image on the device's monitor. Depending on the settings of your screen and the quality of the surface, not all color pigments can be printed one hundret percent realistically. In view of the fact that all are processed and printed manually, there might as well be minor variations in the motif's exact position and the size.
