The subject is from Ovid’s Metamorphoses (completed 8 A.D). Accidently pricked by one of Cupid’s arrows, Venus fell in love with the handsome hunter Adonis. Rubens shows their leave-taking—a popular subject also famously depicted by Titian in another picture now at The Met. With cavalier indifference to the goddess’s charms and her warnings of danger, Adonis hunted a wild boar and was gored to death. Technical examination indicates that a later hand altered Adonis’s expression to make it less foreboding.

  • Mbipụta enyo acrylic: A glossy acrylic glass print, often described as a UV print on plexiglass, changes the original artwork into brilliant wall decoration. The great upside of a plexiglass fine art print is that contrasts as well as minor color details become more visible thanks to the fine gradation.
  • Mbipụta kwaaji: A printed canvas, which should not be mistaken with a real canvas painting, is a digital replica applied directly on canvas. A canvas print of your favorite artwork will allow you to transform your fine art print into a large work of art. The advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without the support of any wall-mounts. That is why, canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.
  • Mbipụta nke aluminom: These are metal prints on alu dibond material with an outstanding effect of depth. The non-reflective surface creates a contemporary look. The Aluminium Dibond Print is the ideal introduction to the sophisticated world of fine art replicas with aluminum.
  • Mpempe akwụkwọ ederede (akwa akwa akwa): Our poster print is a printed canvas paper with a slight surface texture, that reminds the actual artwork. It is excellently qualified for placing your fine art print with a customized frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin between 2 - 6cm round about the print motif in order to facilitate the framing.
