While the Greek philosopher Socrates will be known to most people, it will perhaps be fitting to note that Alcibiades was an Athenian statesman and military commander who lived from c. 450 to 404 BC. As a young man he was a member of the circle around Socrates, and it is precisely the teacher/pupil relationship between them that Eckersberg depicts in this picture.

  • Kwaaji: A printed canvas, which should not be confused with a canvas painting, is a digital replica printed on a cotton canvas. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight. That means, it is quite simple to hang up your Canvas print without extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for any kind of wall.
  • Mbipụta nke aluminom: Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an impressive depth, creating a fashionable look with a surface structure, which is non-reflective. Colors are luminous and vivid, the fine details appear crisp and clear, and there’s a matte appearance that you can literally feel. The direct print on aluminium is one of the most popular entry-level products and is an extremely stylish way to showcase art reproductions, because it puts 100% of the viewer’s focus on the whole artwork.
  • Akwụkwọ mmado ebipụtara (ihe kwaaji): Our poster is a printed canvas paper with a nice surface texture, that resembles the actual version of the work of art. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster we add a white margin between 2 - 6cm round about the artwork in order to facilitate the framing.
  • Glass acrylic e biri ebi (nwere ezigbo mkpuchi iko): The acrylic glass print, often referenced as a UV print on plexiglass, transforms the original artwork into décor and makes a good alternative to aluminium or canvas fine art prints. Your favorite artwork is being printed with the help of modern UV print technology. This creates vivid, sharp color shades.

Ederede iwu: We try everythig possible to describe the products in as much detail as possible and to demonstrate them visually in our shop. Still, the tone of the printing material, as well as the imprint can differ somehwat from the representation on the device's screen. Depending on the screen settings and the quality of the surface, colors might not be printed as exactly as the digital version on this website. Since our fine art prints are printed and processed manually, there may also be minor discrepancies in the size and exact position of the motif.
