General description by the museum's website (© Copyright - Nationalmuseum Stockholm - National Museum nke Stockholm)

English: Hugo Salmson is an almost forgotten artist today, but in the 19th century he was highly successful, known among other things for his considerable technical ability. This girl in a chair is painted with a skill that bears comparison with the more celebrated names of 19th-century art. Salmson was sometimes criticised for a stiffness in his images, but that is scarcely the case here. The technical precision of the painting, combined with the girl’s defiant look, overshadows the admittedly rather arranged character of the portrait.

The product dropdown menu gives you the opportunity to select the size and material of your choice. The following options are available for individualization:

  • Akwụkwọ mmado ebipụtara (akwa akwa akwa): The poster is a printed canvas paper with a nice structure on the surface. It is excellently used for framing your art replica with a custom-made frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the artwork, which facilitates the framing with your custom frame.
  • Mbipụta iko acrylic (nke nwere ezigbo mkpuchi iko): The acrylic glass print, which is sometimes referenced as a UV print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite artwork into magnificient décor. Furthermore, it makes a viable alternative option to dibond or canvas fine art prints. Your own version of the work of art will be custom-made with modern UV print machines. This creates intense and deep colors. The major benefit of a plexiglass art print is that contrasts as well as details become identifiable with the help of the granular tonal gradation of the picture.
  • Mbipụta kanvas: A printed canvas material applied on a wood frame. In addition to that, a printed canvas generates a familiar, comfortable effect. Canvas prints are relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suited for any type of wall.
  • Metal (aluminium debond mbipụta): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an outstanding depth effect. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the perfect introduction to fine art prints made on aluminum. The bright parts of the original work of art shimmer with a silky gloss, however without any glow. The colors of the print are luminous, fine details of the print appear crisp, and the print has a a matte look that you can literally feel.

Ihe dị mkpa: We try everythig possible to describe our art products as exact as possible and to illustrate them visually. However, the tone of the printed materials, as well as the print result might diverge slightly from the representation on the device's screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the condition of the surface, not all color pigments will be printed as exactly as the digital version on this website. Given that all fine art prints are processed and printed manually, there may as well be slight variations in the exact position and the size of the motif.
