This print reproduces a painting by the Victorian artist Rebecca Solomon whose brothers Abraham Solomon and Simeon Solomon were also artists. After studies at the Spitalfields School of Design, Rebecca became a draftsman on wood, illustrator, assistant to her brother Abraham, copyist for John Everett Millais, and exhibited her own oils and watercolors at the Royal Academy and other venues. In this contemporary genre subject, a destitute mother and child seek charity outside a public institution (a poster suggests a missionary society), but are shooed away by a beadle, as a sympathetic woman and girl offer assistance. The wood engraving appeared in the "Illustrated Times," to mark the painting’s exhibition in 1859 at the gallery of Louis Victor Flatou, a London dealer who offered art lovers an alternative to the Royal Academy.

- Akwụkwọ mmado na ihe kwaaji: The poster print is a printed sheet of canvas with a granular structure on the surface. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm round about the artwork, which facilitates the framing.
- Mbipụta nke aluminom: An Aluminium Dibond print is a material with an outstanding effect of depth - for a modern impression and non-reflective surface structure. A direct Direct Print on Aluminum Dibond is the ideal introduction to fine art prints made with aluminum. For your Direct Aluminium Dibond option, we print your chosen artpiece on the aluminium composite surface. The white & bright parts of the work of art shimmer with a silk gloss but without any glow.
- Bipụta na iko acrylic na-egbuke egbuke (nke nwere ezigbo mkpuchi iko): The print on acrylic glass, which is often named as a print on plexiglass, will convert an artwork into home decoration. Moreover, the acrylic glass fine art print is a viable alternative to dibond and canvas fine art replicas.
- Mbipụta kanvas: The canvas print, which shall not be confused with a real painting on a canvas, is a digital image printed from an industrial printer. Canvas Prints have the great advantage of being relatively low in weight, which implies that it is easy and straightforward to hang your Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
