In a snowy landscape behind a dam, a factory in the red-brick sunlit.

The painting is executed in Norway, during a stay of the painter in Lillehammer, winter 1905-1906, in which he painted a series of View of the Mesna river, including one in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Reims and "factory along the Mesna" Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen. The Mesna was the name of the river that runs through Lillehammer.
