- Mbipụta kwaaji: A canvas print is a printed cotton canvas stretched on a wooden frame. A printed canvas of this work of art will allow you to transform your art print into a large size work of art like you know from art galleries. How can I hang a canvas print on the wall? A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight, which implies that it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.
- Mbipụta ọla (aluminium dibbond): These are metal prints on alu dibond with a true depth effect - for a modern impression and a non-reflective surface structure. For the Aluminium Dibond option, we print the work of art on the aluminium white-primed surface. The colors are luminous, the fine details of the print appear very clear, and the print has a a matte look you can literally feel. This direct print on Aluminum Dibond is the most popular entry-level product and is an extremely sophisticated way to showcase art prints, because it puts all of the viewer’s attention on the artwork.
- Bipụta na iko acrylic (nke nwere ezigbo mkpuchi iko): A glossy print on acrylic glass, often named a print on plexiglass, changes your favorite original into home decoration and forms a viable alternative to dibond or canvas fine art replicas. The artwork is made with state-of-the-art UV direct print machines. It makes sharp, vibrant color tones. With an acrylic glass art print contrasts and artwork details will be identifiable due to the very subtle tonal gradation of the print.
- Akwụkwọ mmado ebipụtara (akwa akwa akwa): The Artprinta poster is a printed flat canvas paper with a nice surface structure, which reminds the actual work of art. It is perfectly designed for framing the art print in a customized frame. Please note, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm around the painting, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
Important note: We try everythig possible to describe our art products as accurately as possible and to demonstrate them visually. At the same time, the tone of the printed materials and the imprint may diverge to a certain extent from the image on your device's screen. Depending on your settings of your screen and the condition of the surface, not all color pigments are printed as exactly as the digital version on this website. Since all art reproductions are printed and processed by hand, there might as well be slight discrepancies in the motif's size and exact position.
General information from the museum's website (© Copyright - Art Institute Chicago - Ụlọ ọrụ Art Chicago)
In the early 1860s, James McNeill Whistler began to develop an art-for-art’s-sake aesthetic, eschewing narrative or naturalistic details to focus more intently on formal concerns. In 1865 the artist traveled to Trouville, a French resort town, where he painted with Gustave Courbet and experimented with a series of increasingly simplified seascapes. The high horizon line and broad expanses of muted color in this spare composition reveal Whistler’s interest in Japanese woodblock prints. The sweeping, horizontal brushstrokes and restrained palette, limited to pale greens and soft grays, reinforce the painting’s innovative, flattened perspective.
