Luigi Gonzaga (born 1568) was the eldest son of the marquis of Castiglione. He resigned the marquisate in favor of his younger brother, and in 1585 joined the Jesuit novitiate in Rome. He devoted himself to the care of the poor until he died of the plague in 1591. He was beatified in 1621 and canonized in 1726. Guercino’s altarpiece was commissioned for the Theatine church of Guastalla in 1650 by Duke Ferrante III Gonzaga (1618–1678). An angel holds a heavenly wreath over the saint’s head, while at his feet are a sheaf of lilies, representing chastity, and a crown, symbolizing the marquisate he had renounced.

In the dropdown selection right next to the article you can pick the size and materialaccording to your preferences. You can choose among the following product customization options:

  • Mbipụta kanvas: A printed canvas applied on a wood stretcher frame. How can I hang a canvas on the wall? A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy to hang the Canvas print without the use of extra wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for all types of walls.
  • Mbipụta enyo acrylic: An print on acrylic glass, often described as a print on plexiglass, will change the artwork into great wall décor. Furthermore, it forms a good alternative option to dibond and canvas art prints. Your artwork is made with the help of modern UV direct printing technology. It creates rich, deep color hues. The major upside of a plexiglass print is that contrasts and painting details will be recognizeable because of the very subtle gradation.
  • Mbipụta akwụkwọ mmado (akwa akwa akwa): Our poster is a printed sheet of flat canvas with a nice surface structure, which resembles the actual version of the artwork. A poster print is optimally suited for framing the art replica with a custom-made frame. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm around the print motif, which facilitates the framing with a custom frame.
  • Mbipụta nke aluminom: Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an outstanding depth effect. The bright sections of the artwork shine with a silky gloss, however without any glow. This UV print on Aluminum Dibond is one of the most demanded entry-level products and is a contemporary way to showcase fine art reproductions, as it puts all of the viewer’s attention on the image.
