Trained as an engraver, Kensett shifted to landscape paintings as a young man. In the summer of 1850, when he was 39, Kensett toured the White Mountains in New Hampshire and sketched this view of Mount Chocurua with the Saco River winding beneath it. Shortly afterward, he created this painting of the scene, which he exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1855. Unlike earlier American landscapists, such as Thomas Cole, who reveled in stormy skies and rocky chasms, Kensett's paintings, such as this one, tend to be peaceful in feeling. Kensett was particularly interested in the subtle changes of color and clarity that occur as objects recede into the distance, an effect known as "atmospheric perspective."

  • Mbipụta akwụkwọ mmado (akwa akwa akwa): A poster print is a UV printed flat canvas with a slight texture on the surface. It is ideally qualified for putting your art print in a customized frame. Please note, that depending on the absolute size of the poster print we add a white margin 2-6cm round about the work of art, which facilitates the framing.
  • Mbipụta nke aluminom: An Aluminium Dibond print is a print with an outstanding depth effect. A direct Aluminium Dibond Print is the ideal start to fine reproductions on aluminum. Colors are luminous and bright in the highest definition, the fine details of the print appear very clear.
  • Kwaaji: The printed canvas, which shall not be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital image printed directly on canvas. A canvas makes the distinctive look of three dimensionality. Also, a canvas print creates a cosy and pleasant effect. A printed canvas of your favorite masterpiece will provide you with the unique opportunity of transforming your art print into a large size artwork like you would see in a gallery. How do I hang a canvas on my wall? Canvas prints are relatively low in weight. That means, it is easy to hang your Canvas print without the support of extra wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suitable for all types of walls.
  • Mbipụta iko acrylic (nke nwere ezigbo mkpuchi iko n'elu): The print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes named as a print on plexiglass, will transform your selected artwork into wall decoration. In addition, the acrylic art print offers a good alternative to canvas or aluminium dibond prints. With an acrylic glass fine art print contrasts plus smaller image details become more visible due to the precise tonal gradation of the picture.
