General information from the museum (© - by The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Museumlọ ihe ngosi nka nke Obodo)
This still life was one of the first paintings acquired by The Met, part of the Founding Purchase of 1871. It combines some of the most frequent props of Dutch still life—a lemon peel, the type of glass known as a roemer, and oysters, which were believed at the time to have aphrodisiac properties. The diminutive scale indicates it was destined for a collector’s cabinet, meant to be pored over by a single viewer.

- Mbipụta enyo acrylic: An acrylic glass print, which is often denoted as a fine art print on plexiglass, will transform your favorite original artwork into brilliant wall décor and offers a distinct alternative option to canvas or aluminium dibond prints. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your chosen art print against sunlight and heat for many years to come.
- Ebipụta akwụkwọ mmado na ihe akwa akwa: The poster print is a UV printed canvas paper with a granular finish on the surface, which resembles the actual work of art. The poster print is designed for placing your art print using a custom-made frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of around 2-6cm round about the print in order to facilitate the framing with a custom frame.
- Mbipụta aluminom (aluminium dibbond): Aluminium Dibond prints are prints on metal with an outstanding depth, creating a contemporary impression with a non-reflective surface structure. The bright and white parts of the original artwork shimmer with a silky gloss but without any glow. The colors are bright and vivid, fine details of the print appear crisp.
- Kwaaji: A printed canvas, not to be mistaken with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital image applied on a cotton canvas material. The canvas produces a lively and pleasing appearance. A canvas print has the advantage of being relatively low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for all kinds of walls.
